JR Howa
JR Howa grew up in Salt Lake City, where he graduated from Judge Memorial Catholic High School. From an early age, JR worked in the family construction business where starting at the age of 13, he spent all his summers working in the construction yard loading trucks for various job sites. After high school, JR attended the University of Utah while continuing to work for the family construction business. Presently, JR is a partner at Mountain West Commercial Real Estate, the largest privately owned brokerage firm in Salt Lake City operating throughout the Intermountain West. While providing excellent brokerage and construction management service to his clients, Howa has also grown the multifamily and new construction divisions over the past four years at Mountain West. Currently, he has been the broker of record for the Worthington Tower, a 32-story multifamily project in the heart of downtown, and the Woodbine project, which includes approximately 70,000 square feet of biotech and life science commercial space as well as the first stand-alone food hall with local restaurateurs.
